JESSICA JARICK METCALFE, MPH
Hello! I am currently a Doctoral Candidate in Human Development and Family Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
I am passionate about creating developmentally informed intervention programs that positively impact the health and development of youth populations. My current work focuses on the development and evaluation of hands-on cooking programs for children, parents, and families.
Currently, I am the Research Coordinator for the Illinois Junior Chefs Program, an Extension-based intervention program that provides hands-on culinary education to children aged 8-13. This statewide program reaches over 2,000 participants annually.
I am advised by Dr. Barbara Fiese and Dr. Jennifer McCaffrey.
